The stock installation is for the fog lights to only be on with the low beams. Likely due to legal restrictions that David referred to in some areas.

So for the stock action the feed to the fog light switch, that controls relay armature, should come from the low beam circuit.

When I do my own installations, I run the feed from the parking lights.
