No, the flywheel on the auto is different due to the bolt-in of the torque converter. The front-half of the d.shaft is different (2"shorter) than the manual also. Do you have all the other parts? They range from radiator to shifting linkage. I ask 'cause I converted from auto to manual, so I still have all the parts to make your conversion!

I need information concerning a manual five speed to automatic conversion in an '83 U.S. 320i. Are the flywheels the same between the two transmissions? Are the driveshafts the same, i.e., the same length using the same coupling?
