i want to put a 2.5 eta engine into my 1980 320i (1.8). Is the swap possible and is it a good swap? what will i need to do?

the reason i want the 2.5 eta is because i hear it has alot of torque ... and its fuel effecient

You need an E21 323i front subframe. Then the eta bolts right in. You will have to figure out the wiring for the Motronic engine management, but others have done it before, so there is information out there.
