Safelite did a great job! (archive)

My 82 320 ate a big rock from a truck last month. I called around trying to find a new windshield, realizing I may have to get one from a dealer. Low and behold, Safelite had a brand new one in stock. The guy came to my work today, and replaced it in the parking lot. He did a GREAT job and its warrantied for life. $240.34 installed. A little expensive still, but I didn't ge my hands dirty (or cut) and I know this guy knew what he was doing.
