Harbor freight sells a simple plastic star shaped item with fins on it to straighten out rad and condensor fins. I bought one when I was installed the AC systems. Works well and only $2-4.

Does any one know how to get crap out of the cooling fins. I hve tried my hose and a degreaser but it does not do much. I am afraid to hit it with air or high pressure water because of bending all the fins up. There is so much crap in these fins i estimate I am only getting about 40% of the air flow through it. Is it time for a new radiator?
