After Matt's suggestion, I've checked the plugs and they are fouling, full of gas. I introduced slight vacuum leaks and the car will run a little longer w/out fouling up the plugs so bad.

So now I need to adjust the fuel mixture. Does this ONLY involve the mixture regulator control rod, spring and baffle plate position ala Haynes manual (p.63 chapter 3.23)?


...If you don't get a variation in idle my bet would still be overrich mixture...
