A couple. After a hot shut down wait until the time you start experiencing your start problem and pull a couple of spark plugs out and check to see if they're wet. Leaking injectors, including the cold start injector, and especially if the valves are carbon fouled, could definitely lead to hard starting and poor running until all of the fuel that was absorbed by the intake system gets burned off. Then it runs better. So it may be time for some heavy duty cleaning of the intake. Jectron and Redline SL-2 are excellent for the injectors. Ventil Sauber is good at cleaning the valves and is suitable for hot soaking the intake.

Have you tested the cold start injector for proper operation and leakage? Try pinching off the fuel hose to it after you shut down the car. Keep it pinched off and then start it after the delay. How's it start?

The intake pump doesn't have a check valve. It's in the external pump. My car bleeds off fuel pressure after about 40 minutes. Even with zero fuel pressure it takes about 2 seconds for it to start which means fuel pressure builds up very quickly.

Yeah,
Aside from the tank pump, I looked at IAC valve -- seems OK per test sent by Grant...Temp time switch goes on/off per temp...(tested for continuity after letting it set, and when warm - seems OK)...AFM swings freely & idle changes when you unplug it -- seems OK(?)...adjusted throttle switch - definetly improved low-end drivability! seems to start OK when Cold or you shut it off then back on within a few minutes...which reminds me - is it the in tank pump with check valve or other???? I'd assume the E3900 would have one? I have a new temp sensor coming (this somehow controls fuel injection, so I'm crossing my figers)...any ideas? Thanks -Aaron
