Whoa!!!......Hesitation problem!! (archive)

Did a few things to the 86 735 this week end.
1) replaced both flywheel magnetic sensors.(plug ends had crumbled to pieces)
2) put on new plug wires.
3) replaced distributor cap and rotor.
4) adjusted transmission throttle potentiometer.

Now car hesitates badly when pushed all the way to the floor. It's like the car just quites, sometimes backfires. Back off of the throttle a little and it takes off. I don't understand what I may have done that could have caused this. Car runs smooth up to the wide open point.(idle etc) Any Ideas?
