Enough carbon buildup on the injector pintles can prevent them from fully seating and thus cause them to leak. I would start by using a couple of bottles of injector cleaner. Additionally I've also used the hot soak method with Ventil Sauber to clean the intake system. On a hot engine at idle I use the ported vacuum line to suck the contents into the engine then shut it off and let it hot soak for 40 minutes. Oil dilution probably results with this stuff so it's a good idea to accelerate the oil change intervals. Some garages perform injector back flushing and cleaning and if you find one it could be worth the service charge.

I just did what you suggested -- drove it, pinched off cold start line & pulled plugs. The plug tips all looked pretty clean, but the bases looked pretty carbon fouled & slightly wet...a couple were worse than others. My exhaust pipe is also carboned up...these plugs only have a few hundred miles on them too. So i'm kind of leaning towards leaky injectors now...I think ill try to find some low milage ones and plug them in...They all test OK with am ohm meter, and I can hear them all clicking, so would you try to clean them or just replace them?? Let me know - Thanks -Aaron
