Rear Fender repair/replacement (archive)

My 83' 733i has some cancer in both rear fenders. the rust is along the top of the wheel opening as well as right behind the wheel. I have found a donor car, 85' 735, that the owner has graciously offered both rear fenders (rust free). Is it feasible to cut the rear fender off and weld them onto my car. If so, does anyone know where the best areas are to cut the fenders. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
