Change the upper control arm bushings. The rubber bushings are the only items that take the entire weight of the car during braking. It may be cheaper for you to replace the entire arm with bushings than to press new bushings in place. You can buy the bushings for about $15.00 each but must be setup with a press and mandrels to fit the convex cone shape of the e23 bushing. Also the ball joint on the end is probbly shot. I have seen very few people able to remove the arm without busting the ball joint boot.

The cost of the control arm with bushing in it are about $115.00 each.

Time to install control arms is about 1.5 hours. Time to press in bushings add about 4 more hours.

Be sure to put the weight of the car on the ground before tighting up the cross bolt.

If you do this I'd bet you a fancy dinner at your favorite restaurant that it's fixed.

Hope this helps!

Jon
