I'm experiencing the same thing ('84 733i originally bought new by my dad in December of '83).

My dad has been driving either his '90 750iL or my mom's '94 325i for a while now, so he doesn't really remember if that's how the A/C always worked.

If you close the vent on top of the dash you get a little more air, but it might be enough for two mosquitoes. My daily driver ('98 Mustang GT) pumps out tons more air (not to mention ice cold) in the #2 setting than my 733 does in full blast.

Even my old '90 325is pumped out a lot more air than my 733. It may just be the design of the HVAC system. This was designed in the mid 70s.

I'd love to hear if there is a fix for this.
