I think the conections number 2 and 3 are the ones that you want to probe. Voltage must be between 4.76 and 4.80 volts at wide open throttle optimum being 4.78 volts. This setting is critical to proper shifting.
Once this is done then set the idle control microswitch by way of the screws on the switch. With the throttle in the idle postion. You want the microswitch to click just as the throttle is cracked and still click when it returns to the idle postion. you can also tweek this VIA the 10mm nut on the throttle cable side of the throttle plate.
