I'am planning to change 5-speed manual to zf 4hp22 automatic tranny in my 728i. What things should be considered? What parts should be replaced, radiator, driveshafts ????. Could I use transmision from e28, or even from volvo 740s. What does letter L mean in zf transmisssion type code? For example volvo 760 gle td uses transmission zf 4hp22l.
I've heard that there would be some 'A' clutch which is easily damaged. Is it possiple to repear?
I have many queastions and I hope you could help me with them. I asked, if it is possiple to use transmission from volvo, because volvo uses zf 4hp22 tranny in some models and I live in Finland where is very many Volvos, so I could get transmission from volvo much easier than BMW.
I have what you need,zf4hp22 trans, flywheel, converter, shifter, shorter front drive shaft.Do you have motronic? This is a non electric trans from m20 engine
No i have L-jetronic. This bmw was originally bought from german 1983. There is just one problem. How do you get these parts i Finland. I might consider buing them. It just might quite expensive to get these parts in Finland. Finland is between Swenden and Russia.
