If you mean the warning panel on the left hand with the red lights for low coolant, brake lights, etc., then it sounds like it's working fine. All the BMWs I've had did the same thing. In the case of my E30s the panel was above the rearview mirror by the sunroof switch, so it was kind of nice and not distracting not being lit all the time.

Thanks, I only noticed it and thought I maybe having some type of short in wiring. I won't have to charge up my credit card this time. lol
