Could someone explain about gray market cars? A friend of mine wants to buy one. He says it's $10K below list and he has to have it shipped from Germany. I was told by someone else that it's only worth 1/2 list price. It's a BMW E320 4Matic Sedan. I think it's a '98. How can you tell if it's a gray market, by the model number? I'd appreciate your help.
