Low Beam Check Relay (archive)

I'm about to instsall E-Code headlamps and, using additional relays, wire the low beams in series to produce a half-output running light for daytime use. When the headlamp switch is turned on, the series circuit will drop out, of course, returning the low beams to their normal, parallel, configuration.

The only problem is going to be that at least one side of the low beam check relay will think it has lost it's fillament when the series circuit kicks in.

Does anyone know the minimum current which needs to flow through the coils in the low beam check relay in order to keep it from going into alarm mode? Hopefully less than what a low beam lamp draws.

Thanks!
