Supposed to say "NOW in the market" Typo... sorry
Thanks for all the input on this subject and I have decided not to touch my low mile 735 and throw it back under a cover in my collection for a better day. I would love to drive it a little, but I cant stand driving a car that has to be on the floor almost everywhere it goes and a 5 speed is out of the quiestion, so thats why I entertained the idea of the turbo. I am not in the market for the nicest low milage 84-86 745I I can find. No repaint, body work ,etc. I would like to get one, put bilsteins, wheels/tires and bars on it and tweek up the HP it up to about 300HP... I think I could enjoy that. Anyone know where an original car is, I will go up to 20K for the right untouched original car around 20-40K milage but would consider others in the right condition. Thanks again for all the input.

I have 86 735I.. Car is mint-perfect with 12K miles. I want to "bolt on" the 745 turbo assy to my my higher compression m30 motor. With the exception that my motor is higher compression and I'll probably have to run high-octane (not a problem for me) what other concerns must I look out for? Will my M30 be able to supply the 745 turbo with oil and return? How does the 745I get more fuel under positive manifold conditions? Crankcase breathing concerns, checkvalves, etc. I was planning on using aftermarket FMU, so the factory computer should not have to bother with anything. I also want to try this without messing with the computer as I understand the turbo waste gate is mechanical. Any input on this subject would be great.

Matt
