There is a company that replaces the carbon, resistance board and rebuilds the rest. It was posted on one of the boards but not sure where. Maybe a search will turn it up.

I think the computer in my 84 745i is bad. Does anyone have one for sale or know where i can get one from?
Or mabey is it repairable?
