'85 745, I have replaced plugs, cap & rotor, fuel pressure regulator, fuel filter and outside of tank fuel pump. Also all vac lines attached & in good shape. Still will spit, sputter and backfire after about 2400rpm during wto. Back off the accelerator a bit and it will run fine. Any help or suggestions would be great.

I agree with demet on this one. Find a digital meter. Connect to the green wire at the connector on the right front of the fire wall with the plus lead. This is the output from the O2 sensor. Be sure to have a good ground on your negative lead. Run the wires into the interior of the car and set you meter so you can see it when you drive.

Then watch the meter when you go to WTO. The readings should jump to 800-850 Mv. This is full rich condition for WOT. If the reading does not got to 800Mv, then check the throttle position switch to be sure it is closing when the throttle is at WTO. If all of that checks out then on to the other items demet listed.
