Just went to NYC and back over the weekend (200 mi each way), and encountered some brake problems. On the way after cruising for 2 hours I had to stop at a light.... brakes shuddered strongly and pulled to the right. I pulled over and found that the right front caliper had come loose, one of the bolts holding it on was gone. I improvised and held it in place with a lug nut since the threads matched and continued on my way. Problem solved?
Yes until my baby was battered by 2 hours of driving through NYC streets. On the way back, pedal sank to the floor, it felt like the rt. front lost pressure accompanied by a horrible noise. I checked it out and it looked like the metal shield next to the rotor got bent and part of it lodged btwn caliper and rotor, I removed this and that problem was solved.

Now whenever I come to a stop from 40+ mph, the brakes shudder. Is this a rotor or control arm bushing problem. If so I need a quick cheap fix because I have no money left and need to sell this car.
