I assume its the 2 pin ICV that you have? All I have seen is the pin input/output descriptions without wire colors. Even my 5-series Bentley that covers the ICM only has descriptions. But you should be able to trace the wires based on them. The Idle FAQ (link below) has them. If you want the Bentley troubleshooting notes, email me.

Thanks for the reply and info,
yes it is a 2 pin ICV. I hardcopied the IDLE FAQ and read it before I posted , but wasn't sure if the ICM and it's pinouts are the same in the 7 series. I was quite reluctant, even after identifying most of the wires, to reconnect anything in case it fried something.
If you don't mind I will e-mail for the Bentley info - I'm sure it'll help
