1) when should the pump run. i.e. key in start position? while running? both?
2) how many volts should it be getting? running vs not?
3)should you be able to hear it? feel it running?
mine is getting 4+ w/ key on & 5.5 or so when running, but I cant hear or feel it run. Is it bad? TIA
The pump should run at start and at times of low vacuum. You will be able to hear it and also be able to feel it run by touching the case. It shuts off when sufficent engine vacuum is built to operate the HVAC controls. Think of it as an auxilary pump. It does not run all the time.
