'94 740i motor problem (archive)

I am looking @ a '94 740i w/77,000 miles. I had a presale inspection done on the car including a compression test. The test came back w/compression ranging
from 190 to 198. The seller toke the car into a BMW dealer today who hooked it up to the computer and did the authorized engine test. The dealers results
shows the car in the 1.98 to 2.0 range. So who is blowing smoke? I need help!!

PS: Yes the block is NIKISIL.
