check the rotors - also check for frozen brake caliper pistons.

I have replaced everything on the front end to stop the violent shimmy in my car. I have a 1985 735i. I've replace the tie rods, wishbone, upper contol arms and bushings etc. and the car continues to shimmy. I took it to the dealer and they say its the tires. I have the mille rims and tires from the tire rack. could they really be the problem. the car does wobble when I'm coasting or driving at low speeds. That makes me think its the rotors. you can fill the shimmy from 35 - 75mph. the shimmy is violent from 55 - 75mph. I'm going to put the orginal wheels back on with the trx's to see if it rides any better. this will hopefully elimate the rims and tires being the problem. all help is appreciated.
I once read some had the problem and it was the calipers. i can't seem to find it in the archives.
