I think I stepped into something with my '86 735i ( black on black). Purchased it 2 months ago for 3k. Has 94k original miles ( have repair orders from 1st owner ). A $100+ inside/out detail and you can shave in the paint, no dings, NO RUST. All leather interior in immaculate condition. The car has power sun roof, dual electric seats, driver seat memory, auto tranny with mode select, auto climate and several buttons on the console which I have yet to figure out their purpose. The car has 225/60-16 cooper tires on it with alum wheels. The center caps are missing. Had to put $1500 into it for front brakes ( rotors/pads), cat converter, oxygen sensor, battery and changing of ALL fluids. Needs SI board. All else is fine. Car hauls some serious butt. I actually bought it for a knock around but since viewing this site I have placed it in my garage. I'm now looking for a true knock around. Can anyone tell me if this might be an executive edition other special model? Also, any comments from other '86 735i owners would be appreciated. I've put close to 1500 miles on it since I got it and its a true pleasure to drive. I have noticed that the right rear tire appears to be sitting on an angle and am wondering if this is a suspension item that can be adjusted or something of serious concern.Anyone? Thanks.
