Springs/Shocks which ones are best? (archive)

I know that I need new shocks and probably springs. Ye O'le 86 735 now has 147k and the ride is real soft and spongy.

I really would like a little stiffer ride but not alot more than stock. Just something to make handleing a little better.

I found the H&R site and can but a set of springs for $295.00 but these change the ride heigth by 1.6 inches.

Have heard of Dinan Springs but have not found any info on them or where to buy them.

Any information and help is greatly needed and thanks in advance. Also help on shocks!!
