On my 86 L7, on both of the front seats, the seat heaters only heat the backrest part of the seat, and not the seat cushion (where your bottom sits). Are the seats supposed to be this way, or is there something wrong with both of my seats? Thanks for any input.

Hans

I have the same problem on the driver's seat on my 85 745. The pax seat heats both cushions. I haven't had the time to tear it apart but I assume that the heating element is broken. Anyone have an answer?

I dont have the car...or any car w/ heated seats, but it sounds like the heating element is broken or there is a bad connection...I suggest check all the connections to the element and if its possible take the element out and look at it..also its a possibility a resistor blew somewhere....
