I know some of you guys on this board don't agree with me about drag racing but sometimes you gotta show the Fords and Chevys that BMW's are not only much better handlers but can out run them too in a straight line acceleration contest. there is a local strip here and it pretty safe to drag. so went there for shits and giggles last night. first competion was a convertable 93 mustang 302 worked, naturally aspirated. What a joke. I had this guy right off the line. mabey the first second i fell behind B/C of auto tranny but i made that up quick on the turbo was in i was gone. next a 2000 Vette, he took off real hard but after a 1/8 of a mile he had a fender on me but nothing else and i kept up with him for the next 1/4 mile . that was my favorite. next a 99 cobra well like the vette he took off hard but once the turbo came on head to head for a second and then i was GONE. very similar race with a 98 z28. and then my friend with his 90 stang supercharged with 16 lbs. of boost. he got 2 cars on me after about 1/4. but he also runs 11's. some other good races and a bunch of hondas pulled up and those were just jokes but i really was impressed with this car i never really draged with it. all i have done is a 3" straigt pipe right off the manifold to a dyno max muffler. when i puleed up everyone was laughing when i left i had the smile on my Face :) lets seee what happens with more boost,but I think that it might be running more boost than stock for some reason
