special tool works great - think mine was about $25 but under $50 for sure.

BMW wouldn't sell special tools over the counter but a local BMW service shop was happy to take my money and special order them straight from germany for me.

Special Tool 11 2 100 used for holding the flywheel? What's that worth and where do you get these Special Tools
