I once owned a Mercedes-Benz which was similar to the 745i in it's "honkin" madness. It was designated 450SEL 6.9 and boy could that thing fly! I bought it from a local fellow who had brought it over from Germany and let me tell you, it would do standing start burnouts at the drop of a hat. Couldn't burn anything in it but Sunoco Ultra 94 octane but it was worth every penny. Sadly, at 253,000 miles she was stolen and set on fire. Ahh, those were the days, crude German super sedans. Anyhow, I currently have a 745i which I use as my weekend car and for daily transport, an MB Turbodiesel with 611,000 hard bitten miles behind it. Original engine and tranny, those 5 cylinder diesels are amazing! But when it comes to Autobahn style racing, the 745 rules!
