How the hell does one get the door caps off this car? Even more baffling to me is the center console wood and the wood surroundin the ashtray(the ones which hold the window switches). Any help much appreciated.

Console has to come out to get to the console wood. This is not an easy task. The center piece on the dash, is almost impossible to get out. There are plastic nuts holding it in place, and at least two are impossible to reach without removing the climat controls. even then, it's difficult.
