O.B.C. Not Speed limited! (archive)

I was very curious as to if the On board computer was speed limited in '80s cars with the stupid 85mph speedo. So I went to answer my own question on a long deserted road, and its most definitely not limited to 85mph, I set the speed function to go off at 105, and it did despite the Speedo. being only around 90mph!

And for those of you who are against speeding at such high speeds, you'll have piece of mind knowing I had a 1/4 mile space in-between cars, and the guy infront of me was going faster than I was. Also if there was oncoming traffic I'd slow to 60 and pass them first, no matter what speed I was going I'd slow for them. I made sure I was always in control to. This was technically a "controlled environment test"
