Starting Problems with high engine bay heat (archive)

Have had the starter, ignition switch replaced and a wire
jumped across the big connector next to the fuse box US$500 spent to date on this one.

Sometimes when engine bay is very hot the starter function
does not crank the engine, if left to cool down then cranks/starts ok.

What temperature senstive components are there in the starter circuit that are in the engine bay that could be the culprits (ie what's left to replace)?

Where are they located?
