A family member is considering buying a 1985 735. I have heard many people say that the e28 cars are much more reliable, in addition to handling and accelerating better. Any advice on the relative reliability? Thanks


I agree with Lars. I too have both cars and the 7 can't be beat for comfort on the open road. The 535 is our fun car and it runs like hell. I have 160K on the 735 and 130k on the 535 and both are going strong.
