Gardena may be far but SouthBay BMW is a very honest place. Ask for Hoa.
Rock bottom and honest price.

Good Luck.
Thanks. I have looked at Repco, their prices are reasonable; I will check the other sites. I live in South Orange County, CA. Gardena is a bit far, but I will keep it in mind. Thanks for the tips.
Brad ;)
Two issues:
1. If you do it yourself, then check the prices at:
www.allbmwparts.com
www.mesaperformance.com
2. If you want to shop to do the job, make sure you go to a reliable and trust-worthy shop.
If you live in either Chicago or L.A., let me know (I live in Chicago, but my cousin is a BMW mechanic that has his own shop in Gardena, CA).
Take care.

I just got quoted about $900 for installing new brake rotors and pads on my '93 740i.
This seems a bit steep to me, but the guy says he buys his parts only from BMW.
1. Does this price seem reasonable?
2. Are there aftermarket rotors that aren't so soft (i.e. that don't create so much brake dust on my nice mag wheels?)
Any advice is mucho appreciated!
Brad
