Sounds like trans is gone, and will probably need rebuilt/replaced. That happened to me last March and it was $900.00 bill.


May I ask where the tranny was rebuilt or if anyone knows a good place in the New York area? I have a manual tranny that blew on my 1984 733 with only 39,000 original miles and it felt very tight and shifted perfectly right up to the point when it blew. I want my new tranny to feel like that again and I am worried that if I buy a used tranny that it may not feel as good. Please give me any info you can. Thanks
