1) with the engine running and the ICV valve disabled (so it won't try to adjust rpm), pull each FI connector off and see if the engine rpm/roughness differs from cylinder to cylinder.
2)Using an injector tester (About $55;supplies specific pulses to injectors while still mounted to fuel rail) will fire each injector a set # of times. You prime system and shut pump OFF, then with a fuel pres gauge look for similar fuel pres drop with each FI with the set number of pulses .

Anybody know if there is an easy, safe way to test the fuel injectors for clogging, good spray pattern, ect.? I have a '85 735i w/ 180K - thanks in advance
