I can't understand the writer's attitude against E23's. My 85 has been one of the most reliable, satisfactory cars I've ever had, including my wife's E32, which is a relative disaster. I don't think you can find a more reliable, better engneered car for its time, and I've had mine since new, now reaching 120K miles, 5 speed, faster than a speeding bullet! Bob H.
