I m thinking about selling my 1980 733i. I m thinking about selling to for $2500.00. It is silver with dark blue leather interior. I have done $2919.00 worth of work on it and I can t keep spending that much money. I m only 18 years old and I m still a senior in high school and I need something more reliable and less costing for tech school next year.

Since I bought it I have: changed the water pump-$60.00
-bought a new battery-$60.00
-got a new exhaust-$360.00
-had $1477.00 worth of engine
repairs done to it
-replaced the transmission mount-
$30.00
-replaced the alternator-$150.00
-had $100.00 worth of repairs to
the battery and ignitions system
-replace both the front and rear
struts-$192.00
-plus little things like fuses and
spark plugs and ignition wires,
air filter, O-rings, hose clamps,
and some hose-all together was
$95.00
-all together I ve spent $2919.00

It has a slight oil leak and the trunk seal needs replaced. When I bought it there was no heater core and still isn t b/c i haven t gotten around to fixing that yet. I ve never tried the air conditioning but I m sure that doesn t work either. The back seat is two tone b/c i had to replace the bottom part and all i could find was a tan one so the bottom is tan and the top part is dark blue. I put a cd player in it but I ll prolly keep that for my next car.

If $2500.00 is too much then what is a reasonable cost for this car. That was the first figure that came to me. Thanks,
Aaron Donnelly
