Help ! Help! I'm in dire need of an 86'735i automatic transmission. Any ideas where I can find one would be greatly appreciated (at a price well below what dealer quoted).

As you may already know, BMW sells their "Value-Line" Transmissions, which are basically NOS trannies, but they must come from Germany (I think) and they are not cheap. I paid around US$2,600 plus installation for mine not too long ago. This was for the Economy/Sport unit (I never use the Sport setting!) - Jim in Rocklin, CA
