Grant, do you know what values I should be reading on the temp sensor cold and hot, or what direction the amount of resistence should be changing cold to hot. Thanks

At 70 degrees F, 2100-2900 ohms and at 175 degrees F 270-400 ohms.

With the engine coolant cold you can take a reading with the sensor in the engine. But you will have to remove the sensor and place it in hot water to take a reading at the 175 degrees F level.
