Grant & others - in reply, Don't think I have the bolt, it looks like a long nut between the fan and the water pump pulley. About 27mm size shifter looks like it is needed.

i'll have to get a skinny open-ender to fit between the fan housing and the water pump.

it is just a case of undoing this - presumably it
comes out of the water pump from the centre of
the pulley? Is it clockwise to undo (not what you would normally expect)?
