The switch will be in the engine bay so the wires are not too long.
I am trying to determine if I have an ignition wiring deficiency only manifested at very high engine bay temperatures or whether the starter is playing up, yes I have replaced the starter motor, ignition switch and just
put a new battery in the car.
I have about 9 months left on the warranty to prove the starter motor is the problem.
I have no problems in cranking from a cold start or immediately after stopping, seems to be worst on very hot(35 Celsius) days after the car has stopped for about 45-60 minutes.
I do NOT have however a "sleeve" held on by a cable tie around the barrel of the soleniod housing. Not sure how
critical this is to my heat sensitive problem.
Sorry I've been so busy on the board still lots to do
on this one before I dare take it too far away from home base.
Regards,
Rob
