Bondo is only your answer if you are selling the car quick. At best you can only expect it to last 6 months, at worst it will bubble up before the paint dries. You didn't mention where the rust holes were. The best solution is to cut the hole back to good metal and weld in new panels. Even then sometimes it seems like you are fighting a losing battle. If the problem is in a door, it might be better to just find another door in a salvage yard and repaint it to match your car. The problem with doors is water gets inside and it is just about impossible to get a welded in patch rust proofed on both sides.

I cleaned the bright work (I don't think it is chrome) with rubbing compound. Good luck!
