Hello,
I just purchased a 1982 733i (White/Blue Interior) and would like to bring the chrome back to life. Can anyone pass along some tips as to what works best when cleaning the chrome on a 733i. Also, there are several rust spots around the car, including two complete holes through the metal. What can I do to stop the smaller spots from spreading and is Bondo my answer on fixing those holes? Thanks for the help!!!!!

I've used two products for polishing aluminum - the first is Nevr-Dull which you can get at most auto parts or hardware stores. The other is call Ouater (pronounced "water") - it's similar to Nevr-Dull but requires less effort to get a good shine. You'll probably find Ouater at motorcycle shops or shops that sell a lot of car detailing stuff.
