Well, I've reluctantly decided to put my 745i up for sale. I have way too many cars, and Mercedes-Benz are my main passion anyways, but don't get me wrong, I had a blast with this Bimmer! Anyhow, here's the skinny....

Black on Black water buffalo interior. Good condition inside and out. Fully loaded with every available factory option including: power windows and locks, powered/heated front and rear seats, factory electric sliding glass sunroof, Becker Grand Prix stereo with rear control in armrest, factory anti-theft system, rear window sunshade, original TRX wheels with Michelins, and (fully functioning) OBC! 134,000 miles, two owners and synthetics used in engine and tranny since 60,000 miles. Imported to Cincinnati, Ohio in 1985 by Bavarian Motor Service, Inc., and has remained in Ohio since. I live in Cleveland (which is where the car is currently stored for winter) but work for an independent Mercedes-Benz garage in Cincinnati, so I'm always back and forth. This car runs and drives as it should, and the tranny and turbo perform flawlessly.

Items needing attention:

-Need to install correct European grilles and headlight buckets (I have the parts in the trunk)
-Need to R&R or eliminate self-leveling. It works sporadically.
-Could use four new TRX tires (or something more practical!)
-Recharge A/C system (climate control does work fine, however).
-Re-install Becker radio (it was just serviced).
-Needs new power antenna mast (old one is broken at base).
-Last but not least, the front nosepiece was very slightly dented in (PO's wife hit a shopping cart or something like that). So the nosepiece should be repaired and probably repainted.

Otherwise, the paint and interior are in good shape. The leather could probably benefit from a Leatherique treatment, but otherwise is in very presentable shape. There is no rust on the car and it has been Waxoyled in the past which has proved to hold up very well! Immediately after I bought the car, I put in a new radiator, water pump, fuel tank, sending unit, pre-pump, and alternator bushings (all original BMW parts purchased at the BMW dealership in Cincinnati). I have all receipts and all records for past work are on file at the BMW Store in Cinci. I also changed the fuel filter, oil and filter and transmission fluid and filter. The PO used Amsoil in the engine and Red Line ATF in the tranny. I have continued with Red Line in the tranny but switched to Mobil 1 10W-30 synthetic in the engine. Additionally, I changed the coolant and brake fluid using Havoline 5yr/150K coolant and Ate Super Blue racing fluid for the brakes. The car was in dry storage for two years before I bought it and I just don't have time to fiddle with everything, as work has been keeping me quite busy. But this car is a perfect specimen for someone who has the time to put it right. I'm asking $4,500/OBO. Please e-mail me at Benzpower@aol.com or call me at (513) 924-0263 (home) or (513) 519-7302 (cell) if interested. Since the car is in storage now, it might take me a week or two to get some pics to you.
