The computer display is not working on a 1982, 733I is there a simple method to check if its history,a fuse, wire, etc.?

On the 84 it is fuses 5 and 12 that will shut it down. Try replacing them even if they do not look like they are blown. Mine did the same and I painstakingly went through each fuse replacing any that even looked dirty and it lit back up.
