Visit your local high-end dealer (particularly Mercedes, and particularly if they resale late model used) and go to their detail shop. Ask them your question. I worked at a Mercedes/Saab dealer and the detail guys used something they called bob-it. It worked miracles on rubber and tires. They used it on resale cars and customer cars, as well.
