If you want quality, you have to pay for quality. I have bought and sold many e23s over the years. I have paid as low as $100.00 and as much as 20K. All I can say is you ususally get exactly what you pay for. If your car is as nice as it sounds I see no reason you cant find a right buyer for it. Many people that say that 8K is too much for a mint condtion perfectly kept e23 say that because they probably cannot afford it and will eventually spend way more than that trying to make their 200K+ car the condition of yours and never getting close still to have a high milage car in the end. If you find someone who really appreciates a car in your condition you will sell it, but by no means give it away as if you do the person that gets the bargain usually does not appreciate the car and it ends up like 98% of the e23s out there, pretty rough.. There are very few nice e23s out there but this site seems to have the people who have the 2% nice ones left, not that the e23 or any bmw except M1 and very low milage M6s are really very collectable they are a dying breed, so do your car a favor and hold out for the right buyer who can appreciate and care for it as it sounds like it has been done. Any nice old car in mint condition will always be worth money.
you can ask what ever you want but what are
people going to pay ; I wouldn't pay 8k
